La Posada del Arquitecto awaits you in the beautiful and magical Mazunte Bay.
We are located on a small hill in the center of the beach, with spectacular views, just steps from the ocean. The ideal place to watch the sunrise every day, hop aboard the beach in a flash, or simply relax in your cabin watching the waves or the sky.

Our Place
The Posada del Arquitecto was born in the 1990s, when Mazunte was a pristine, uninhabited beach. Guido built his house here, and soon friends began visiting, drawn by the magic of the place. Thus emerged the first palapas and rustic cottages, designed with bio-architectural principles and local materials, in an organic style that adapted to the geography of the hill.
Over time, and thanks to the collaboration of many friends, the Posada was transformed into a space with the comforts of contemporary lodging, while maintaining the essential, Zen-like design of its early days. The cabins are creatively designed, each one unique and has its own special style. Some are rustic and feature organic shapes that adapt to the hill, while others are more contemporary, with solar-powered air conditioning.
New technologies allow us to be eco-sustainable. We offer filtered drinking water, complete water recycling, solar panels for electricity, and solar-powered hot water, in our commitment to minimizing our environmental impact.
Our cabins, just steps away from the sea, are home to trees and small animals that we encourage you to respect. Oh, and we're pet-friendly!
ECOLOGY
Our Inn is eco-sustainable, with a true commitment to caring for water and the natural environment that surrounds us, respecting the flora and fauna that were here long before us.
We have a high-tech water recycling system that allows us to reuse all of the Inn's gray water to irrigate our green areas. This way, we keep our spaces vibrant and fresh year-round without using potable water for irrigation, thus avoiding the waste of this precious resource in Mexico.
The air conditioners in our rooms are powered by solar panels. This way, you can enjoy coolness and comfort in a tropical climate without creating an environmental impact or depending on the conventional electricity grid.
In addition, we offer you a true luxury in Mexico: drinking water straight from the tap. An advanced filtration system allows us to guarantee clean and safe water in every corner of the Inn, for your peace of mind.
And to complete our sustainable approach, the hot water in your shower also comes from solar heaters, protecting the planet without sacrificing comfort.
